I have decided to try something different. Here’s the deal:

1. I will keep track of all Entrecard drops on me for each week.

2. At the end of the week I will award all incoming Entrecard credits (up to 1,000 since that’s the limit for weekly transfer) to one dropper.

3. All you need to do to enter is to drop on me – something that earns you a credit anyway.

4. A quality comment that contributes to the discussion of a regular post earns you an additional 5 entries.

5. On Sunday I will tally all the entries and use a random number generator to select a single entry.

6. I will examine that entry including the blog that belongs to the entry. If the linked blog has gone more than a week without a post, the entry is discarded and another entry is randomly selected.

7. Up to 1,000 ECs are transferred to the winner’s EC account and the name is added to the winner’s list.

8. The contest will continue until I decide to stop it. Notice will be given here when it ends.

9. EC credits cannot be sold and thus have no monetary value. This contest is not subject to disclosure or alternative entry means. The ultimate decision to release prize credits rests solely in the discretion of TechByPC.com and may be withheld or suspended for any reason with or without notice.

Winner’s List

Week 1 (short) began 12:01AM (Eastern US) on November 27 and ended November 29th at 11:59PM. There were 375 drops during that time frame, so the prize is 375 EC. There was one Entrecard commenter who received an additional 5 entries. In Excel =RANDBETWEEN(1,380) returned 225. Week 2 began November 30 12:01AM (Eastern US) and ended December 6 at 11:59PM. Stay tuned, and don’t forget that dropping is all you have to do to enter! 1 drop every day equals 7 entries. 1 comment equals 5 entries. Week 3 began December 7 and ended at the end of December 13. This week there were 675 drops on my blog and thus 675 EC at stake. There were 15 comments from Entrecard users, so the total number of entries was 750. =RANDBETWEEN(1,750) returned 291. Week 4. This week there were 671 drops on my blog, so 671 EC at stake. EC raised their weekly limit, so if I ever go over 1,000 I’ll honor that full amount. 467 was my random number. I’m giving the site owner until 6pm Eastern to get the site working again and if it isn’t working I’m rerolling. Well, the site never came back. I rerolled and got a site that hadn’t updated in several weeks. Rerolled again and got http://entrecard.com/t/oc/28394
